Spanish
In the MFL Department, we aim to foster our students' curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world around them. Immersing our students within the target language in the classroom and offering a range of extra-curricular activities, ensures our young language learners are prepared for their next steps in life and assists them on the path to achieve their God-given potential.
In the classroom, students are encouraged to solve problems whilst communicating with others, expressing their ideas and thoughts, thus deepening their understanding of their own identity and culture as well as that of other countries.
In Spanish, we aim to give our students the opportunity to practise and thrive, enabling them to develop the confidence to apply their Spanish language skills in a range of scenarios in school and out in the world. Our goal is to enhance their learning through the use of authentic and interactive materials as well as cultural events and visits, including overseas trips, developing linguists who are inquisitive and insightful with a strong awareness of the world around them.
