She visited with a professional filming crew to conduct a Department for Education film project demonstrating teaching and learning in Mandarin.

Mr Leng said: “It was a fantastic experience to welcome Katharine into my classroom to see one of our Mandarin lessons. Our Year 8 pupils are currently learning not only about how to speak and write in Chinese but also the opportunities the bigger world could offer. Indeed, we’re very proud to offer Mandarin on curriculum at St Catherine’s.”
