Our Care and Support
At St Catherine’s College we have happy, safe and confident learners. We place God’s children at the heart of everything we do and that is why we put great emphasis on our personalised pastoral care. We always take the time to listen to our students, to find out what is going well and how we can improve things further.
We have the highest expectations of behaviour and conduct, both in and out of lessons, and we reward students when they meet and exceed these. As a church school, we have a responsibility to make compassion, kindness, tolerance and respect, integral to our school community.
Our last Ofsted report was very strong in this area:
“Students, parents, staff and governors care greatly for each other. They comment on their feeling that the school is a family, and they relate this directly to its Christian ethos”
Inspection report – SIAMS
“Students were polite and friendly. Relationships between staff and students and between students themselves are strong.”
Ofsted, November 2018
“Students are tolerant and show respect for cultural values which are different from their own”

Protect Young Carers Futures
We are aware that we have a number of young carers here at St Catherine's. We will also have some young carers in school that we aren't yet aware of.
We would like to reassure you that we know how hard it can be for families who are living with a health condition, a disability or other challenges that might mean the children take on additional responsibilities at home.
If you are in this situation, please let us know, by contacting your child's Head of Year or Kerry Guppy (kguppy@stcatherines.college). We will ensure that we do our best to support your child here at school.
